Position Overview:
As a Private Equity Associate at our firm, you will be integral to our investment process, from inception to completion. This role is the first of potentially multiple hires in India and as such we
are looking for candidates that are self-driven and able to operate with autonomy/limited oversight.
The Private Equity Associate will collaborate directly with the senior partners and other team
members of organization, all of whom are based in the US. You will contribute to the firm’s growth by engaging deeply in financial modeling, comprehensive due diligence, and the execution of
investment strategies. This position not only requires a keen analytical mindset but also demands
proactive involvement in market research and deal sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Analysis: Develop complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and risks, ensuring high accuracy and relevance
• Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence processes to assess the financial, operational, and strategic aspects of potential investments
• Deal Execution: Actively participate in all stages of the deal execution process, including structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions
• Market Research: Continuously monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify
emerging investment opportunities and potential risks
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members to synthesize findings and develop investment theses
• Portfolio Management: Assist in the ongoing management and oversight of portfolio companies, including strategic planning and performance analysis
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
• Prior experience (2-4 years) in investment banking, private equity, or related fields
• Strong quantitative skills including expertise in financial modeling, valuation and financial
statement analysis, with proficiency in Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex
ideas clearly and concisely
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities
and deadlines effectively
• Team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with cross-functional
and cross-border teams and external partners
