TheEstimator / Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role inaccurately assessing project costs preparing bids and ensuringeffective cost management throughout the projectlifecycle.KeyResponsibilities:
- ProjectCost Estimation:
- Conduct detailedcost analysis for sewage and water projects considering materialslabor equipment and other relevantfactors.
- Collaborate with project managersengineers and other stakeholders to gather necessary informationfor accurate estimations.
- BidPreparation:
- Prepare comprehensiveand competitive bids for sewage and water projects ensuringcompliance with project specifications andrequirements.
- Evaluate subcontractor andsupplier quotes to incorporate into overall project costestimates.
- QuantitySurveying:
- Perform quantitytakeoffs and measurements to support accurate project costestimates.
- Monitor and assess variations andchanges in project scope providing detailed quantity surveyreports.
- BudgetManagement:
- Work closely withproject teams to develop and manage project budgets trackingexpenditures and ensuring adherence to financialguidelines.
- RiskAssessment:
- Identify potentialrisks and uncertainties in project estimates and budgets proposingmitigating strategies to minimize financialexposure.
- MarketAnalysis:
- Stay updated on industrytrends materials costs and market conditions to provide informedand competitiveestimates.
Qualificationsand Skills:
- Bachelorsdegree in Civil Engineering or relatedfield.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience inestimating and quantity surveying for sewage and waterprojects.
- Proven track record of successful bidpreparation project cost estimation and quantitysurveying.
- Strong understanding of constructionprocesses and materials.
- Proficient in relevantsoftware tools for estimating quantity surveying andbudgeting.
