Catering Coordinator

Position OBJECTIVE:> Ensuring end-to-end support for all catering requirements associated with the airline’s global flight operations.> Monitoring flight schedules, assessing parameters, and dispatching catering orders to assigned vendors/stakeholders.> Responsible for acting promptly to changes, adhering to established protocols, and maintaining seamless communication with catering stakeholders.Key Position Responsibilities:Supporting for catering requirements across the airline’s global flight operations by monitoring the flight schedules and catering flights according to specified protocols.Collaborate with Ground Co-Ordinators to ensure execution of catering services through the airline’s in-house team.Continuously monitor operating flights using AIMS (web-based scheduling software) for schedule changes and send revised catering orders with clear revisions, requiring acknowledgment.Dispatch catering orders to assigned caterers based on various parameters such as local time, flight duration, passenger count, downline stations, aircraft limitations etc. which are determined by the airline SOP.Release all orders well in advance, adhering to agreed Turnaround Time (TAT)Notify caterers promptly in case of flight cancellations/schedule changes. Ensure the same is acknowledged by the vendor/stakeholder and is executed as per instruction.Make on-the-job decisions to ensure effective catering supportFacilitate proper handovers between shifts, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.Record shift turnover details in a designated log.Qualifications and Experience Requirement:Academics & Processional Certification: Bachelor’s degree in any field. Certifications in Airline Catering operations will be a plus.Work Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience in catering management within the airline industry.Competency Requirements:a.      Technical Skills:Microsoft Office Suite, with extensive use of Microsoft Outlook for communication  Proficiency in using Microsoft TeamsFamiliarity with scheduling software, preferably AIMSMicrosoft Excel and Word for specific tasksFamiliarity with aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.Familiarity on various aircraft types and catering galley layouts will be a plus.b.     Behavioral Skills:Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parameters for catering order release.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Ability to work in a 24×7 operational environment.Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and changing situations.Job Location – Mumbai…
