What you’ll do
Join a team of talented engineers to own and build microservices from the ground upCollaborate with engineers and teams across the company to develop new features, improvements, and fixes to handle our current and future scaleContribute to addressing our scaling and infrastructure needs and architecting maintainable systemsImplement APIs to support new complex configurationsContinuously improve our platform in terms of resiliency, performance, and scalabilityBe part of the team’s on-call rotations
RequirementsWhat you’ll need
At least 5+ years of backend software development experience (but we have roles open for more experienced developers as well)Core programming proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or NodeJSExcellent critical thinking and problem solving skillsExperience with relational databases: MySQL, Postgres, or equivalentExperience developing backend web servicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills What we’d like to see
General curiosity and flexibility in working across technologiesExperience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or REST or SOAP APIsExperience with scalable distributed applicationsExperience with automated testing strategies and related frameworksExperience with instrumentation and observability within browser based applicationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, coding bootcamp, or equivalent hands-on experience
