Factory Medical Officer

Major Accountabilities :

• To provide medical treatment and support in case of an emergency illness or accident.
• To monitor, manage and modify any adverse health effects which may occur at the workplace.
• To promote good health at the workplace.
• To plan and execute health education and awareness programmes for employees.
• Analysis & feedback of all accidents & illness.
• Statutory Compliance pertaining to Occupational Health obligations under Factories Act & GFR
• Compliance of the obligations under Biomedical Waste Management & Handling Rule
• Medical surveillance through measures such as periodic medical check-ups.
• Pre-employment medical check-ups and Periodical medical check-ups
• Medical treatment for illnesses and accidents.
• Conducting health education programmes.
• Providing first aid and other related training to the employees, including CPR
• Promoting health awareness and wellness measures among employees.
• Maintain MSDS for all chemicals & Keep all antidotes as required for the chemicals.
• Maintain OHC equipment, Ambulance, Medicine & all other consumables required for emergency treatment
• Hygiene Survey of Canteen and the workers working as Chef, Helpers and employees serving food.

Educational Qualifications :

MBBS Degree from a recognized University. Associate Fellow of Industrial Health (AFIH) or any other recognized course from recognized Institutes by DISH like PGCIH

Functional/Behavioral/Leadership Skills :

• Good knowledge of Chemical exposure & treatment
• Fair idea of antidotes & emergency medical aids
• Computer literacy
• Good Communication Skill
• Ability to foster good relations with people.
